WHOLE FOODS - A GREAT START TO THE NEW YEAR
We are thrilled to say this little company keeps growing! We hoped and dreamed that we would someday make it on the shelves of Whole Foods Markets. We have always felt we would be a perfect fit there... And WOW! It's happened. We have learned so much about the grocery world and how it works. It's not an easy business! But the best part of all this, what makes us want to keep going, is the reaction we continue to get from new customers. So THANKS!!!! And we appreciate all the support from the new stores staff and workers. It's an amazing feeling to have that people are genuinely pulling for Krazy Ketchup to succeed. What a great start to 2011! Can't wait to see what happens next!

Krazy Ketchup Gives Back
When we started our company, Laila and I talked about how much we would like our company to be of service to the community. We are dedicated to giving back to organizations committed to kids/families and health. We are making an effort to help kids and families live a healthier life. Through these efforts, we hope to inspire others to be active in their communities. Teaching kids healthier ways of eating has lifelong benefits. So I'm happy to report we've been able to donate Krazy Ketchup to a number of worthy causes and there are more to come. Hollywood Heart, Upward Bound House, DSALA, and Westside Food Bank. Laila and I have felt this is one of the best parts of this entire adventure so far....

Ketchup Industry - big dream for our healthy alternative
All is going well in the world of ketchup. While doing research I discovered that the ketchup industry is a 50 billion dollar business! It is amazing to me that there haven't been many healthy ketchups on the market until now. As Laila and I grow our business, it is interesting to see how much people have wanted a healthy alternative to ketchup - and something that tastes great. We were originally just trying to do something for our own kids but now we are starting to feel empowered by all the positive response to Krazy Ketchup that our mission is now to expand this business as far as we can. We have big dreams for places that could use our ketchup... Schools, hospitals, ballparks and sports arenas, fast food restaurants, and even fine dining could use our healthy alternative. Believe me, ten years ago, even two years ago I never would have began to dream that I'd be in the ketchup business!!!! But so many people have been encouraging and continue to be helpful... so maybe those dreams aren't so far off!

UCLA Anderson School Of Business Meeting!!!
Hi there!
We had a great discussion with a group of MBA candidates from the UCLA Anderson School of Business! It was so interesting for Laila and I to tell our story from the beginning to where we are now! All the adventures and misadventures we have had, making ketchup in the kitchen ourselves, induction sealing bottles, coordinating all the Krazy parts to the puzzle! And just how strange it is for us to be in a business venture making KETCHUP - who'd a thunk it!:) These folks had great questions and ideas. I think the future of business in this country is in good hands!

DSALA EVENT Last night
Hey everyone,
We had a chance to do a fundraising event for the Downs Syndrome Assoc. of Los Angeles. What an amazing night at the Skirball Center. So many wonderful people! All willing to taste and buy the ketchup for a great cause. We got lucky because the appetizers were.... Mini-hamburgers, french fries and little hot dogs!!!! We really couldn't have planned that better ;)
And one of our biggest customers is an awesome kid named Max. We were fortunate to meet his family along with a number of spirited folks. You can just feel the love and warmth and sense of fun this community has. I feel so honored to have participated. THANKS!!! This kind of thing gives us even more reasons to get Krazy Ketchup out there and available for everybody. We love to be able to give back to our community.

Check out DSALA.com and see how you can volunteer!!!

Bristol Farms Demo!!!
Hey everybody!
Laila and I did a demo today at Bristol Farms in Beverly Hills. People were extremely receptive and we've sold out at that store. (No worries - they are ordering more this week!)
Thanks to everyone for their support!

ALSO a huge THANKS must go to HUNGRYGIRL.COM who wrote a great review to which we've had a "Krazy" amount of responses - orders and people even coming into Bristol Farms who saw it. The power of the internet is AMAZING!!!
The crew at Bristol Farms have been so supportive and it was an eclectic mix of folks at the Beverly Hills store who we met today.
Can't wait for the next demos!!! Please come out and say, "Hi!"

Happy Easter!!!
I'm happy to report that Krazy Ketchup will soon be coming to many more stores since a very large distributor has sent us "paperwork'! We are going to do demos at various stores, mainly Bristol Farms right now. We'll post a schedule when we get one - but for sure there will be one at all Bristol Farms Memorial Weekend! Figuring out how all this works has put my organizational skills to the test. I thought I was a fairly organized person but to be honest I've never been stretched like this before... Laila and I are juggling our families, homes, husbands, and this business (which has become it's own full time baby) which we both have a great passion for. Personal time? That's the hardest thing to come by these days. How do people do it? I would love any advice on that!
But, this will all be worth it, if Krazy Ketchup can be made available to kids everywhere!!!
Gotta run, I'm off to help the Easter Bunny hide some eggs for our annual backyard hunt! Happy Easter! I bet some kids would love Krazy Ketchup with their Easter Ham or Leg of Lamb!!!!

Our Very First Blog!!!!!
Hi! Welcome to Krazy Ketchup’s very first Blog. I have never blogged before so this should be fun! And I never thought in my wildest dreams I’d be making KETCHUP! I was a writer for TV so I hope I can utilize some of those skills here. Laila and I are newbies to the food business. It has been an amazing journey. Two moms talking about nutrition and kids led to this point – having a product in Bristol Farms… and several small markets with the doors opening to many more. Sometimes, I can’t even remember how we got here so quickly. It's a blur since we decided to make the ketchup ourselves, testing recipes, coming up with one we thought worked. And then renting a commercial kitchen. How about ordering our own bottles and labels and a PH tester and an induction sealer. So, we made KETCHUP, bottled it ourselves (all 270 bottles at a time) and AMAZINGLY, people loved it. Then, in between kids soccer, baseball, and homework, we upped it to the next level and hired a co-packer to make it for us so we could become 100% Organic. Now, we have an Organic Certified 100% organic product that is getting positive feedback from everyone. We exhibited at our first Food trade show and got great press. Now, we are in the process of growing even more. This blog is a way to chronicle our journey from an idea to starting a revolution in the condiment industry! Hopefully, you will join us for this KRAZY ride!!!!!!
